Monoclonal Anti-Nuf2 (mouse IgG1isotype) is derived from the hybridoma 28-37 produced by the fusion of mouse myeloma cells (PAI cells) and splenocytes from BALB/c mice. NUF2 gene is mapped to human chromosome 1q23.3. NUF2 protein is a component of the kinetochore complex.
NDC80 kinetochore complex component, NUF2 is also called as cell division associated 1 (CDCA1).
Specificity
Monoclonal Anti-Nuf2 recognizes human Nuf2.
Immunogen
recombinant full length human Nuf2.
Application
Monoclonal Anti-Nuf2 antibody produced in mouse may be used in:
enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA)
immunoblotting
immunocytochemistry
immunoprecipitation
Biochem/physiol Actions
Downregulation of the NUF2 protein by RNA interference results in the failure of the kinetochores to form attachments to the spindle microtubules. As a consequence, cells are blocked in the prometaphase stage with an active spindle checkpoint and undergo cell death.
NDC80 kinetochore complex component, NUF2 is highly expressed in glioma. It has important roles in attachment of the microtubule to the kinetochore and in chromosome segregation. NUF2 is also involved in enhancing cell growth in hepatocellular carcinoma.
Physical form
Solution in 0.01 M phosphate buffered saline, pH 7.4, containing 15 mM sodium azide.
Storage and Stability
For continuous use, store at 2-8 °C for up to one month. For extended storage, freeze in working aliquots. Repeated freezing and thawing is not recommended. Storage in “frost-free” freezers is also not recom-mended. If slight turbidity occurs upon prolonged storage, clarify the solution by centrifugation before use. Working dilution samples should be discarded if not used within 12 hours.

Multiple myeloma (MM) is a genetically heterogeneous disease with diverse clinical characteristics and outcomes. Recently, multiplex ligation-dependent probe amplification (MLPA) has emerged as an effective and robust method for the detection of cytogenetic aberrations in MM patients. In the present

As an important component of the NDC80 kinetochore complex, NUF2 is essential for kinetochore-microtubule attachment and chromosome segregation. Previous studies also suggested its involvement in development of various kinds of human cancers, however, its expression and functions in human hepatocellular

Glioma is one of the most commonly malignant brain tumors. Current therapies for glioma have failed to achieve satisfactory results, which necessitates the development of novel molecular therapies. In the current study, we aimed to investigate the role of NUF2
NUF2 (NUF2, Ndc80 kinetochore complex component) plays an important role in kinetochore-microtubule attachment. It has been reported that NUF2 is associated with multiple human cancers. However, the functional role of NUF2 in pancreatic cancer remains unclear. In this study, we

Identification of proteins that couple kinetochores to spindle microtubules is critical for understanding how accurate chromosome segregation is achieved in mitosis. Here we show that the protein hNuf2 specifically functions at kinetochores for stable microtubule attachment in HeLa cells. When
