NOTCH homolog-4 (NOTCH4) is expressed in breast cancer.
Immunogen
synthetic peptide corresponding to residues 1506-1524 of human NOTCH4. This sequence is 89% identical in mouse and rat.
Biochem/physiol Actions
NOTCH homolog-4 (NOTCH4) has an intracellular domain which detaches from the protein on activation. This domain then translocates to the nucleus and modulates transcription of genes. NOTCH4 also activates various pathways and contributes to carcinogenesis. Mutations in the gene encoding the protein may be linked to schizophrenia.
Physical form
solution in phosphate buffered saline, containing 0.02% sodium azide.
