Biochem/physiol Actions
Protein kinase A (PKA) is a mediator of cAMP (cyclic adenosine monophosphate) and contains two regulatory and two catalytic subunits. Mutations in PRKACA (protein kinase cAMP-activated catalytic subunit α) are associated with Cushing′s syndrome.[1] PRKACA encodes two splice variants, Cα1 and Cα2. Cα1 is widely expressed and Cα2 is restricted to the sperm cells.[2]

Supplied in 50 mM Tris-HCl, pH 7.5, with 150 mM NaCl, 0.25 mM DTT, 0.1 mM EGTA, 0.1 mM EDTA, 0.1 mM PMSF, and 25% glycerol.
