General description

The gene ZNF276 (zinc finger protein 276) is mapped to human chromosome 16q24.3. It is predicted to have a miR-1226 binding motif. The protein contains C2H2 zinc fingers.

Application

In genome wide association studies (GWAS), single nucleotide polymorphism in ZNF276 (zinc finger protein 276) is associated with red hair color.
