The gene TMEM150A (transmembrane protein 150A) is mapped to human chromosome 2p11.2. It is a membrane integrated protein containing six transmembrane domains. The protein localizes in the plasma membrane.

Biochem/physiol Actions
In fasted rat liver, TMEM150A (transmembrane protein 150A) is up-regulated. It is required for PI(4,5)P2 (phosphatidylinositol 4,5-bisphosphate) re-synthesis following depletion of the lipid. It associates with PI4KIIIa (phosphatidylinositol 4-kinase) and Efr3 at the plasma membrane.
