Chicken polyclonal anti-DNMT3A2 antibody reacts with human, rat, and mouse DNA (cytosine-5-)-methyltransferase 3 α 2 methyltransferases.
DNA (cytosine-5-)-methyltransferase 3 α (DNMT3A2) is involved in the epigenetic modification of genes involved in processes that regulate embryonic development, imprinting, and X-chromosome inactivation. For instance DNMT3A promotes the down regulation of Oct-3/4 to prevent reprogramming during early cell differentiation from the pluripotent state. Dysfunctional DNMT3A have been associated with incidence of acute myeloid leukemia (AML).

Application
Chicken polyclonal anti-DNMT3A2 antibody is used to tag DNA (cytosine-5-)-methyltransferase 3 α 2 for detection and quantitation by immunocytochemical and immunohistochemical (IHC) techniques. It is used as a probe to determine the presence and roles of DNA (cytosine-5-)-methyltransferase 3 α 2 in post-translational (epigenetic) gene regulation involving the processes of embryonic development, imprinting, and X-chromosome inactivation.
Physical form
Solution in phosphate buffered saline containing 0.02% sodium azide.
