α-2-HS-glycoprotein (AHSG) also known as fetuin-A is a protein encoded by the AHSG gene in humans. It is a human plasma glycoprotein and fetuin is the homologue in the calf. α-2-HS-glycoprotein precursor and tubulin β chain may be involved in the pathogenesis of colorectal cancer and may serve as a potential serology diagnosis biomarker.
