Biochem/physiol Actions

FKBP5 is a highly conserved protein, belonging to the immunophilin family. It has potentiality of peptidyl-prolyl cis-trans isomerization (PPIase) and co-chaperone activities. It is thought to be associated with the protein heterocomplex of steroid hormone receptors and it helps in regulating receptor sensitivity.
