General description

Microsome contents of CYP2C19 human and yeast CYP-reductase expressed in Saccharomyces cerevisiae.

Application

Recombinant cytochrome P450, isozyme 2C19, (CYP2C19) may be used in toxicity and drug metabolism research to identify its specificity and activity versus xenobiotic and endogenous compounds. Recombinant cytochrome P450, isozyme 2C19, may be used separately or as a component of a P450 isozyme panel to identify and characterize natural and synthetic selective inhibitors that affect the metabolism of toxic compounds or therapeutic drugs such as to facitinib, clopidogrel and voriconazole.

Unit Definition

P450 Activity: One unit will oxidize 1 picomole of diclofenac per minute at pH 7.4 at 28 °C.
Reductase Activity: One unit will reduce 1 nanomole of cytochrome C per minute in the presence of NADPH at pH 7.4 at 28 °C.

Physical form

50 mM Tris (pH 7.4), 1 mM EDTA, 20% glycerol
