Endoglin (CD105) is a membrane glycoprotein that acts as auxillary receptor for TGF-β and is expressed on proliferating vascular endothelial cells. Alternatively spliced isoforms, long endoglin, short endoglin and soluble endoglin are present but the long isoform is predominantly expressed. The major biological functions of endoglin are in angiogenesis and vascular development and homeostasis. It is also vital for wound healing and in development of embryo. Overexpression of endoglin is reported in solid tumors and inflammatory tissues. Expression of endoglin in solid tumors negatively correlates to survival and metastasis and is considered a marker for good prognosis in a variety of solid tumors Anti-Endoglin specifically recognizes human endoglin (~95 kDa).
Application
Anti-Endoglin antibody may be used for immunoblotting at a working concentration of 1.0-2.0 μg/ml using whole cell lysates of HEK-293T cells over-expressing human endoglin.
Physical form
Solution in 0.01 M phosphate buffered saline, pH 7.4, containing 15 mM sodium azide.

Endoglin (CD105) is an accessory protein of the transforming growth factor-beta receptor system expressed on vascular endothelial cells. Mutation of the endoglin gene is associated with hereditary hemorrhagic telangiectasias, or Osler-Weber-Rendu syndrome, and has been studied extensively in the context

Endoglin (CD105) is an integral membrane glycoprotein that serves as a coreceptor for members of the transforming growth factor-β superfamily of proteins. A major role for endoglin in regulating transforming growth factor-β-dependent vascular remodeling and angiogenesis has been postulated based

Endoglin is a major glycoprotein of human vascular endothelium. As observed with monoclonal antibody 44G4, the distribution of endoglin is restricted to endothelial cells in all tissues except bone marrow. cDNA clones were isolated from an endothelial cell lambda gt11
