Lu6 was established from a (C57BL/6 X BALB/c) F1 mouse immunised with a i.p. injection of the lymphoblastoid cell line Lutz Cor and B-pertussis adjuvant. The B cell line was expressing HLA A3, 2; B18, 5; C5; DR3,II. Mice spleen was removed 3 days after immunisation and fused with the myeloma P3x63Ag8.653. Lu6 monoclonal antibodies were shown to react with HLA DRII. Lu6 is also known as LC4A6. It has been described in the International Histocompatibility Workshop II (IIW0912) and 12 (12W539). The cells have been eradicated from mycoplasma using Cibrobay before being deposited at ECACC.
