Cell Line Origin

Human anti-hepatitis C virus IgG1 secreting B cell

Cell Line Description

Derived from a patient with chronic Hepatitis C (HCV type 1). Antibody specific to non structural protein 4a (NS4a) of Hepatitis C virus. Fine specificity mapped to amino acid residues 1697-1708 of HCV deduced amino acid sequence. The cells should be handled under laboratory containment level 2 conditions.

Application

Used in HCV typing studies.

Culture Medium

RPMI 1640 + 2mM Glutamine + 1% Non Essential Amino Acids (NEAA) + 1% Sodium Pyruvate (NaP) + 20u/ml IL-6 + 10% Foetal Bovine Serum (FBS).

Subculture Routine

Maintain cultures between 3-9x10,000 cells/ml; using 0.05% trypsin or trypsin/EDTA; 5% CO2; 37°C.
