Cell Line Description

The immunisation protocol involved repeated intranasal infection with a single i.v. injection before fusion. Produces IgG2b antibody which binds murine IgG2a of "a" and "b" allotype, Fc region. There is no cross-reactivity with A/PR/8/34 influenza virus, DNP, NP, DNA or cytoskeletal proteins.

Immunogen

A/PR/8/34 mouse pathogenic human influenza virus

Application

Differential detection of complexed IgG2a in the presence of native IgG2a, allotype detection or quantitation.

Culture Medium

RPMI 1640 or DMEM + 2mM glutamine + 10% Foetal Bovine Serum (FBS) (can be adapted to 1% Foetal Bovine Serum (FBS))

Subculture Routine

Maintain cultures between 3-9x100,000 cells/ml; 5% CO2; 37°C.
