Orangutan peripheral lymphoblast

Cell Line Description

Epstein Bar virus (EBV) transformed lymphoblastoid cell line from the peripheral lymphocytes of a male Orangutan.

Culture Medium

RPMI 1640 (R0883)+ 2 mM L-Glutamine (G7513) + 15% FBS / FCS (F2442).

Subculture Routine

Maintain cultures between 3-9x100,000 cells/ml; do not over dilute; 5% CO2; 37 °C.
