Cell Line Description

The antibody is directed against a brain specific determinant present on a glycoprotein with a molecular weight of 130kDa, (CNS gp130). The antibody interacts with the F3-87-8-1 antigen in non human mammalian species.

Immunogen

Human brain glycoproteins depleted of the Thy-1 antigen

Culture Medium

RPMI 1640 + 2mM glutamine + 10% Foetal Bovine Serum (FBS)

Subculture Routine

Maintain cultures between 2-5x100,000 cells/ml; 5% CO₂; 37°C. Cells die at 5,000,000 cells/ml. Require mouse macrophage feeders upon resuscitation
