Mouse DBA/2 mastocytoma

Cell Line Description

Derived from the mouse mastocytoma P815 after serial cycles of transfection with a plasmid carrying a TK gene. BUdR is necessary in the growth media to avoid revertants.

Application

Genetic, transfection and tumourigenicity studies

Culture Medium

DMEM + 2mM Glutamine + 100ug/ml Bromo-deoxy Uridine (BUdR) + 10% Foetal Bovine Serum (FBS).

Subculture Routine

Maintain cultures between 3-9x100,000 cells/ml; 8% CO₂; 37°C. Media change twice a week.
