Cell Line Origin

Mouse neuroblastoma x Rat glioma hybrid

Cell Line Description

A somatic hybrid derived by the hybridisation of the clonal mouse neuroblastoma N115TG-2 and the clonal rat glioma C6BV-1. The cells produce significant amounts of IR-substance P-like material.

Application

Hybridisation and fusion partner studies

Culture Medium

DMEM + 2mM Glutamine + 10% Foetal Bovine Serum (FBS).

Subculture Routine

Split sub-confluent cultures (70-80%) 1:3 to 1:6 i.e. seeding at 2-4x10,000 cells/cm2 using 0.25% trypsin or trypsin/EDTA; 5% CO2; 37°C.
