Cell Line Description
The antibody recognises the glycoprotein 2BII. Binding is lost after acid hydrolysis or de-glycosylation of 2BII. The antibody also cross-reacts with cell wall of Lobomonas piriformis. AFRC MAC 19 antibody shows similar fine specificity and properties to AFRC MAC 18 and 20.

2BII, the major glycoprotein fraction of the cell wall of Chlamydomonas reinhardii
Culture Medium
DMEM + 2mM glutamine + 10% Foetal Bovine Serum (FBS)
Subculture Routine
Maintain cultures between 3-9x100,000 cells/ml; 5% CO2; 37°C. These cells require mouse macrophage feeder layers upon resuscitation
