Cell Line Description

Mouse embryonic fibroblasts (MEFs) derived from the ULK1(+/-) ULK2(+/-) knockout mice. MEFs were isolated and cultured and immortalised with SV40 large T-antigen. This cell line can be used to study ULK1 dependent processes in autophagy.

Culture Medium

DMEM + 10% FCS +2mM Glutamine

Subculture Routine

Trypsinize with 0.05% Trypsin/EDTA and inoculate new cultures at 2 x 104 cells per cm2. Cultures must be incubated in a humidified 5% CO2/95% air incubator at 37oC.
