Cell Line Description

11-4 is a HeLa cell line stably transfected with a firefly luciferase reporter gene under the control of the HSV-thymidine kinase promoter. 11-4 can be used to evaluate the non-specific transcriptional activity of chemicals.

Culture Medium

Subculture Routine

Split sub-confluent cultures (70-80%) 1:4 to 1:10, i.e. seeding at 2 x 104 cells/cm2 using 0.25% trypsin or trypsin/EDTA; 5% CO2; 37 °C.
