FGFR1 oncogene partner is a protein encoded by the FGFR1OP gene in humans. The fibroblast growth factor receptor 1 (FGFR1) oncogene partner called FOP is a centrosomal protein that is involved in the anchoring of microtubules (MTS) to subcellular structures.
Immunogen
Synthetic peptide directed towards the N terminal region of human FGFR1OP
application
Anti-FGFR1OP (AB1) antibody produced in rabbit is suitable for western blotting at a concentration of 1μg/mL.
Biochem/physiol Actions
FGFR1OP (FGFR1 oncogene partner)/FOP encodes a hydrophilic centrosomal protein predominantly expressd in heart, liver, muscle, kidney, intestine, colon, adrenal gland, prostate, testis and pancreas. It interacts with EB1 and facilitates the microtubules anchoring to the centrosomes. It plays an important role in normal proliferation and differentiation of the erythroid lineage. Attenuation of Fgfr1 disrupts cochlear hair cell formation.
Sequence
Synthetic peptide located within the following region: FLQFFNLDFTLAVFQPETSTLQGLEGRENLARDLGIIEAEGTVGGPLLLE
Physical form
Purified antibody supplied in 1x PBS buffer with 0.09% (w/v) sodium azide and 2% sucrose.

The anchoring of microtubules (MTs) to subcellular structures is critical for cell shape, polarity, and motility. In mammalian cells, the centrosome is a prominent MT anchoring structure. A number of proteins, including ninein, p150Glued, and EB1, have been implicated in

The FOP-fibroblast growth factor receptor 1 (FGFR1) fusion protein is expressed as a consequence of a t(6;8) (q27;p12) translocation associated with a stem cell myeloproliferative disorder with lymphoma, myeloid hyperplasia and eosinophilia. In the present report, we show that the
In patients with an atypical stem-cell myeloproliferative disorder with lymphoma (B or T cell), myeloid hyperplasia, and eosinophilia, the chromosome 8p11-12 region is the site of a recurrent breakpoint that can be associated with three different partners, 6q27, 9q32-34, and

Inner ear mechanosensory hair cells transduce sound and balance information. Auditory hair cells emerge from a Sox2-positive sensory patch in the inner ear epithelium, which is progressively restricted during development. This restriction depends on the action of signaling molecules. Fibroblast
