Biochem/physiol Actions

UNC84B [Unc-84 homolog B (C. elegans)] gene encodes a 717 amino acid containing single-pass type II membrane protein predominantly expressed in heart, lung and muscle. UNC84B protein contains a SUN domain and the SUN2 gene maps on to human chromosome 22. SUN2 interacts with Rab 5A and may facilitate the homotypic endosome fusion.
