Gene Information

human ... CACNB1(782)

General description

CACNB1 codes for a member of the calcium channel beta subunit protein family. It is known to modulate G protein function. CACNB1 has been implicated in zebrafish paralysis indicating its role in neuronal functions.
Rabbit Anti-CACNB1 antibody recognizes canine, rabbit, bovine, human, mouse, rat, and zebrafish CACNB1.

Immunogen

Synthetic peptide directed towards the N terminal region of human CACNB1

Application

Rabbit Anti-CACNB1 antibody is suitable for western blot applications at a concentration of 1 μg/ml.

Biochem/physiol Actions

The protein encoded by CACNB1 belongs to the calcium channel beta subunit family. It plays an important role in the calcium channel by modulating G protein inhibition, increasing peak calcium current, controlling the alpha-1 subunit membrane targeting and shifting the voltage dependence of activation and inactivation.

Sequence

Synthetic peptide located within the following region: EVFDPSPQGKYSKRKGRFKRSDGSTSSDTTSNSFVRQGSAESYTSRPSDS

Physical form

Purified antibody supplied in 1x PBS buffer with 0.09% (w/v) sodium azide and 2% sucrose.
