General description

Rabbit polyclonal anti-SMAD7 antibody reacts with human, mouse, rat, and canine SMAD family member 7 proteins.
SMADs are intracellular signaling molecules that activate TGFβ genes in response to ligand induced activation of TGFβ receptors. SMAD family member 7 (SMAD7) is a TGF-β pathway inhibitor that blocks activation of R-SMADs and Co-SMADs.

Immunogen

The immunogen for anti-SMAD7 antibody: synthetic peptide derected towards the N terminal of human SMAD7

Application

Applications in which this antibody has been used successfully, and the associated peer-reviewed papers, are given below.
Western Blotting (1 paper)
Rabbit Anti-SMAD7 antibody can be used for western blot applications at a concentration of 1.0μg/ml.
Rabbit polyclonal anti-SMAD7 antibody is used to tag SMAD family member 7 for detection and quantitation by immunocytochemical and immunohistochemical (IHC) techniques. It is used as a probe to determine the presence and roles of SMAD family member 7 in transforming growth factor-β (TGF-β) cell signaling.
