General description

AMACR (P504S) encodes a racemase. The encoded enzyme interconverts pristanoyl-CoA and C27-bile acylCoAs between their (R)- and (S)-stereoisomers. The conversion to the (S)-stereoisomers is necessary for degradation of these substrates by peroxisomal Β
Rabbit Anti-AMACR (P504S) antibody recognizes human AMACR (P504S).

Immunogen

synthetic peptide corresponding to residues 33-48 of human AMACR (P504S).

Application

Rabbit Anti-AMACR (P504S) antibody can be used for western blot (1:500) and immunohistochemistry (1:100) applications.

Physical form

solution in phosphate buffered saline, containing 0.02% sodium azide.
