General description

Epitope mapping studies indicate that this clone recognizes the epitope between amino acids 195 and 199 of the sheep β1 subunit of Na+/K+ ATPase. Staining is consistent with the plasma membrane localization of Na+/K+ ATPase.
Mouse monoclonal anti-Na+/K+ ATPase (β1 subunit) reacts with the β1 subunit of Na+/K+ ATPase in humans, sheep, canines and pigs, but not in rats. The product shows no reactivity with rat β2 subunit. In immunoblotting, the antibody detects the β1 subunit of Na+/K+ ATPase as a 42kDa band in liver samples, and as a 52kDa band in kidney samples.
Na+/K+ transporting ATPase subunit α1 is an ion transport pump critical for maintaining the gradient of Na and K ions across the plasma membrane.

Immunogen

lamb kidney β subunit of Na+/K+ ATPase.

Anion exchanger 1 (AE1) mediates Cl-/HCO3- exchange in erythrocytes and kidney intercalated cells where it functions to maintain normal bodily acid-base homeostasis. AE1's C-terminal tail (AE1C) contains multiple potential membrane targeting/retention determinants, including a predicted PDZ binding motif, which are

The seven mammalian FXYD proteins associate closely with α/β heterodimers of Na+/K+-ATPase. Most of them protect the β1 subunit against glutathionylation, an oxidative modification that destabilizes the heterodimer and inhibits Na+/K+-ATPase activity. A specific cysteine (Cys) residue of FXYD proteins

Anion exchanger-1 (AE1) mediates chloride-bicarbonate exchange across the plasma membranes of erythrocytes and, via a slightly shorter transcript, kidney epithelial cells. On an omnivorous human diet, kidney AE1 is mainly active basolaterally in α-intercalated cells of the collecting duct, where
