LONG®EGF is a recombinant analog of human epidermal growth factor (EGF) that provides a potent and cost-effective mitogen for cell culture applications. LONG®EGF is ideal for both research and large-scale culture systems utilizing serum-free or low-level serum applications. It is effective in a variety of fibroblast and endothelial cell types and also acts synergistically with LONG®R3IGF-I (Catalog No. 85580C) to produce extremely potent results in cell culture. LONG®EGF is produced in a patented E. coli expression system free of animal-derived components.
Analysis Note
The biological activity is measured by the stimulation of protein synthesis in L6 myoblasts

Emerging evidence indicates that the miR-23a/24-2/27a cluster may possess a causal role in mammary tumorigenesis and function as a novel class of oncogenes. However, the regulatory mechanism of the miR-23a/24-2/27a cluster in mammary carcinoma cell invasion and migration is still
Src tyrosine kinase (Src) is implicated in the development of bone metastasis and castration resistance of prostate cancer. Src inhibitors are currently being tested in clinical trials for such diseases. Understanding the molecular and cellular actions of Src inhibitors holds
Tid1 (DNAJA3), a DnaJ cochaperone, may promote degradation of oncogenic kinases. Tid1 has 2 isoforms, Tid1-L and Tid1-S, that may function differently. In this study, we investigated the role of the Tid1 isoforms in regulating EGF receptor (EGFR) signaling and
Cell-surface receptors frequently use scaffold proteins to recruit cytoplasmic targets, but the rationale for this is uncertain. Activated receptor tyrosine kinases, for example, engage scaffolds such as Shc1 that contain phosphotyrosine (pTyr)-binding (PTB) domains. Using quantitative mass spectrometry, here we

Intestinal homeostasis is maintained by a hierarchy of immune defenses acting in concert to minimize contact between luminal microorganisms and the intestinal epithelial cell surface. The intestinal mucus layer, covering the gastrointestinal tract epithelial cells, contributes to mucosal homeostasis by
