General description

A nucleoprotein complex of histone and deoxyribonucleic acid (Zamenhof, S. Methods in Enzymology Vol. III, 696 (1957)). A dialyzed, lyophilized powder.It is important as a source of its two componnents. Soluble in 2M NaCl and characterized by gel electrophoresis and A280nm/A260nm ratio.
