Inhibition studies of a broad-specificity β-D-glucosidase[1]

Biochem/physiol Actions

Phenyl β-D-thioglucopyranoside was shown to inhibit the activity of sodium-D-glucose cotransporter (SGLT) 1 and 2 by a competitive inhibition mechanism. Phenyl β-D-thioglucopyranoside had a stronger inhibitory effect on SGLT2 than 1. [2]
