General description

The Product is ∼30% solution of sulfuric acid in water. Sulfuric acid is a strong mineral acid. It participates as a medium in the anodic oxidation of aniline at a platinum electrode. Anodic oxidation has been reported to proceed via a free radical mechanism and octamer emeraldimine has been obtained as a major product.[1]

Application

Sulfuric acid may be employed in the following studies:
  • As a medium to investigate the self- assembling of cellular organization in porous anodic alumina.[2]
  • For acidification in headspace gas chromatographic (HS-GC) quantification of carbonyl in lignins.[3]
  • Synthesis of reduced graphene oxide (RGO), via sonication-mediated oxidation of graphite.[4]
  • For digestion of samples during quantitative detection of mercury in water by cold-vapour atomic absorption technique.[5]

The complexity and variability of the atmosphere has hindered elucidation of the fundamental mechanism of new-particle formation from gaseous precursors. We show, in experiments performed
