General description

Copper(II) nitrate hemi(pentahydrate) is an inorganic copper salt.

Application

Copper(II) nitrate hemi(pentahydrate) may be employed as copper precursor for the preparation of thin film of Cu2ZnSnS4 (CZTS).[1] It may be used in the preparation of 4-methoxypyridine-(pyridine-2,6-dicarboxylato-N,O,O′)copper(II)[2] and in the synthesis of coordination pillared-layer frameworks (CPLs), particularly CPL-1, via mechanochemical method.[3]
