Application

  • Lutein for ocular health: A study in "Journal of Nutritional Science" examined dietary carotenoid intake, including lutein, and its correlation with macular pigment optical density and visual functions. This reinforces lutein′s application in enhancing ocular health, especially in the prevention and management of age-related macular degeneration (Kucianski et al., 2024).

  • Lutein in antioxidant research: "Nutrition Research" explored dietary patterns and carotenoid intake, highlighting lutein′s role as an effective antioxidant. This study provides insights into lutein′s impact on reducing oxidative stress and inflammation, supporting its use in antioxidant research (Holthaus et al., 2024).

  • Pure lutein for laboratory use: Research published in "International Journal of Molecular Sciences" investigated natural carotenoids, including lutein, for their potential applications in laboratory settings. This study underscores the versatility of lutein in various biochemical assays, emphasizing its importance in scientific studies (Liu et al., 2024).

  • Lutein in cell culture studies: A publication in "Molecules" reviewed carotenoid profiling in Passiflora spp., including lutein. This study highlights lutein′s role in enhancing cell culture systems, particularly in understanding carotenoid functions within biological systems (Leite et al., 2024).

  • High-purity lutein for nutritional applications: "Foods" presented a review on the potential of lutein as a functional food component. The study discusses lutein′s bioactive properties and its application in nutraceuticals, showcasing its high purity and efficacy in promoting health (Chaicharoenaudomrung et al., 2024).
