Methylophiopogonanone B (MOPB) is the major contributor to the total homoisoflavonoid content, identified in the roots of Ophiopogon japonicas. It is used as a traditional Chinese medicine and food ingredient.

Application

Methylophiopogonanone B may be used as an analytical reference standard for the quantification of the analyte in Zeng Ye Tang and Ophiopogon japonicus using chromatographic techniques.
