General description

Azaperol is one of the major metabolites of azaperone which is used as a tranquilizer.[1]

Application

Azaperol may be used as an analytical reference standard for the determination of the analyte in:
  • Pig tissues by liquid chromatography–tandem mass spectrometry (LC-MS/MS).[2]
  • Egg, fish and meat samples by high-resolution liquid chromatography coupled to time-of-flight mass spectrometry (HRLC-TOF-MS).[3]
