Application

Used as a confirmative medium for detecting and confirming Enterococci and as an indicator of faecal pollution in water and other specimens.

Preparation Note

Suspend 35.8 g in 1 litre distilled water. Heat, if necessary to dissolve the medium completely. Dispense in tubes in 10 ml amounts and sterilize by autoclaving at 121°C for 15 minutes.
