Application

3-Hydroxybenzaldehyde azine may be used for kinetic photometric determination, in differential pulse anodic stripping voltammetry (DPASV) and potentiometry, done for determination of copper species in wine.[1] It may also be used as an ionophore, during the development of an highly selective and sensitive PVC membrane sensor, which can be used as a Tb3+ ion selective electrode.[2]

Other Notes

Copper speciation by kinetic photometry based on catalytic oxidn. of 3-hydroxybenzaldehyde azine with K2S2O8[3][4]
