General description

2-Ethoxyethyl acetate belongs to ethylene glycol ether class of compounds. It is highly miscible with water and organic solvents. It is mostly used in dyes, coatings, insecticides, soaps and cosmetics. It also has teratogenic effect and is capable to bring about testicular changes in rodents.
