General description

Fetal Bovine Serum (FBS) is the ideal cell growth supplement and generally preferred over other types of cell culture sera. Its high levels of nutrients and optimal combination of growth factors makes Fetal Bovine Serum the most effective cell growth promoter for virtually any cell culture system. In addition, the significantly lower content of antibodies compared to adult and newborn sera minimizes the risk of antibody cross reaction with cells in culture.
This serum has been derived from blood aseptically collected in USDA approved abattoirs in the United States of America. This serum was aseptically processed and filter sterilized in the United States. The country of origin of the the crude blood (donor cow origin) is the United States. Each lot is sterile filtered and mycoplasma, endotoxin, and virus tested. A Certificate of Analysis is available upon request.

Application

This serum in standard US Origin FBS and has not been heat inactivated or gamma irradiated.
