General description

Homeobox protein unc-4 homolog (Uncx) is also called homeobox protein Uncx4.1 and is expressed in paraxial mesoderm, the developing kidney and central nervous system. Uncx is a transcription factor involved in somitogenesis and neurogenesis. Uncx is important for the maintenance and differentiation of certain axial skeleton elements, and helps control the connections of hypothalamic neurons to pituitary elements, allowing central neurons to reach the peripheral blood circulation and to deliver hormones for control of peripheral functions.

Target description

~ 65 kDa observed. The calculated molecular weight of this protein is 54 kDa, but can be observed at ~65 kDa due to tissue lysates.
