General description
Inhibitor of growth protein 1 (ING1) is a tumor suppressor protein that can induce cell growth arrest and apoptosis. It is a nuclear protein that physically interacts with the tumor suppressor protein TP53 and is a component of the p53 signaling pathway. ING1 is localized to the nucleus. Reduced expression of ING1 has been detected in various cancers including Squamous cell carcinoma of the head and neck.
Immunogen
Synthetic peptide corresponding to human ING1.
Application
Flow Cytometry Analysis: A 1:10-100 dilution from a representative lot detected ING1 in permeabilised NIH/3T3cells.

Storage and Stability
Stable for 1 year at -20°C from date of receipt.
Handling Recommendations: Upon receipt and prior to removing the cap, centrifuge the vial and gently mix the solution. Aliquot into microcentrifuge tubes and store at -20°C. Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles, which may damage IgG and affect product performance.
Note: Variability in freezer temperatures below -20°C may cause glycerol containing solutions to become frozen during storage.
