RSV is a labile paramyxovirus that produces a characteristic fusion of human cells in tissue culture--the syncytial effect. Two subtypes, A and B, have been identified. Subtype B are characterized as the asymptomatic strains of the virus. The more severe clinical illnesses involve Subtype A strains.

Reacts with RSV fusion protein.
Application
Anti-RSV Antibody, fusion protein, all type A, B strains, clone 130-8F is an antibody against Respiratory Syncytial Virus for use in IF.
Indirect immunofluorescence.
Final working dilutions must be determined by end user.

Storage and Stability
Maintain at -20°C for up to 12 months in convenient aliquots. +4°C acceptable for short-term storage only (1-3 weeks), the addition of 0.1% sodium azide is suggested. Do not store in a diluted format. Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles.
