Calnexin is a Ca++ binding protein found in endoplasmic reticulum membranes that binds to specific n-linked oligosaccharides found on newly synthesized proteins. It may play role in protein folding or retention and degradation of misfolded proteins in the endoplasmic reticulum.
Specificity
Recognizes Calnexin.
Immunogen
Epitope: ER marker
Recombinant human calnexin
Application
Detect Calnexin using this Anti-Calnexin Antibody, ER marker, clone C8.B6 validated for use in IC, IH, IP & WB.
Immunohistochemistry on frozen tissue sections: 1:500-1:2,000
Immunocytochemistry: 1:100--1:250

Insulin and insulin-like growth factor-1 (IGF-1) are present in human tears and likely play an important role in mediating ocular surface homeostasis. We previously characterized the IGF-1/insulin hybrid receptor (Hybrid-R) in corneal epithelial cells and found that it was activated

Protein-protein interactions critically regulate many biological systems, but quantifying functional assembly of multipass membrane complexes in their native context is still challenging. Here, we combined modeling-assisted protein modification and information from human disease variants with a minimal-size fusion tag, split-luciferase-based

γ-Secretase is composed of the four membrane proteins presenilin, nicastrin, Pen2, and Aph1. These four proteins assemble in a coordinated and regulated manner into a high molecular weight complex. The subunits constitute a total of 19 transmembrane domains (TMD), with
