Gene Information

human ... IL2RA(3559)

General description

The interleukin-2 receptors consist of three polypeptides (α, β, γ), which in different combinations bind IL-2 (Ishii, 1995). The 55 kDa α-chain is called CD25. CD25 is strongly expressed on the surface of activated T cells (Uchiyama, 1981), and is also expressed on B cells stimulated with anti-IgM antibody, and on monocytes/macrophages stimulated with lipopolysaccharide (Sugamura, 1997). In normal peripheral blood a variable expression on lymphoid cells (about 3-25%) is observed. The specificity of Anti-CD25, ACT-1, is identical to that of CD25-clustered antibodies (Schwarting, 1987; Aziz, 1996).

Specificity

Antibody recognizes Human CD25 antigen.

Immunogen

Phytohemagglutinin-stimulated blood lymphocytes

Application

This Milli-Mark Anti-CD25-FITC Antibody, clone ACT-1 is validated for use in FC for the detection of CD25.

Quality

Evaluated by flow cytometry using human lymphocytes
