General description

With the ChemiKine NGF assay system, sheep polyclonal antibodies generated against mouse NGF are coated onto a microplate and are used to capture NGF from a sample.

NGF specific mouse monoclonal antibodies detect the captured NGF. Mouse specific donkey polyclonal antibodies, peroxidase labeled, detect the mouse monoclonal antibody. After addition of the substrate and stop solution the amount of NGF is determined. The standard curve demonstrates a direct relationship between Optical Density (OD) and NGF concentration: i.e., the higher the OD the higher the NGF concentration in the sample.ChemiKine NGF kit is designed to measure the amount of NGF in cell culture supernatants, tissue homogenates and biological fluid (serum, plasma, and serum-free) samples from mouse and rat. There are enough reagents included in this kit for two 96-well immuno-assay plates. The kit utilizes strip well inserts. Running duplicate wells for samples and standards is recommended.

Analytical Sensitivity and Detection Limits:

Sensitivity:10-15 pg/mL

Range of Detection: 10 pg/mL to 500 pg/mL

Crossreactivity: No significant cross reactivity with BDNF, NT4/5 or NT3

Intra-assay Variation:± 4.1% (250 pg/mL)

Inter-assay Variation:± 8.9 % (250 pg/mL)
