General description

Immunity-related GTPase family M protein (IRGM), also known as Interferon-inducible protein 1 (IFI1) and LPS-stimulated RAW 264.7 macrophage protein 47 homolog (LRG-47), is a member of the interferon-inducible GTPase family. It induces autophagy and generates large autolysosomal organelles as a mechanism for the elimination of intracellular Mycobacterium tuberculosis. IRGM is expressed in colon, small bowel, and peripheral blood leukocytes. Mutations in IRGM have been assoicated with inflammatory bowel disease type 19 which is subdivided into Crohn′s disease and ulcerative colitis phenotypes.

Specificity

This antibody recognizes the intermediate domain of IRGM.

Immunogen

KLH-conjugated linear peptide corresponding to the intermediate domain of human IRGM.

Application

Detect Immunity-related GTPase family M protein using this rabbit polyclonal antibody, Anti-IRGM Antibody validated for use in western blotting, IHC (Paraffin) & Immunofluorescence.
Immunohistochemistry Analysis: 5 µg/mL from a representative lot detected IRGM in human brain tissue.

Immunofluorescence Analysis: 20 μg/mL from a representative lot detected IRGM in human brain cells.

Quality

Evaluated by Western Blotting in human brain tissue lysate.

Western Blotting Analysis: 2 µg/mL of this antibody detected IRGM in 15 µg of human brain tissue lysate.

Target description

~31 kDa observed. Uncharacterized bands may appear in some lysates.
