General description

Autophagy is the process by which cells recycle cytoplasm and dispose of excess or defective organelles. This process is suggested to be involved development, differentiation, growth regulation and tissue remodeling in multicellular organisms. The APG10 protein plays a role in the conjugation of APG5 to APG12 and this conjugate is required for elongation of the isolation membrane to form a complete spherical autophagosome. The APG10 is able to interact with MAP1LC3A and with APG5 and APG7.

Specificity

APG10 [Autophagy-related protein 10, APG10-like, ATG10].

Immunogen

Synthetic peptide corresponding to a region within the C-terminus of human APG10 protein.

Application

Anti-APG10 Antibody detects level of APG10 & has been published & validated for use in WB, IC, IH.
