General description

A selective and potent inhibitor of ubiquitin C-terminal hydrolase L3 (UCH-L3) (IC50 = 600 nM) that exhibits ~125-fold greater selectivity for UCH-L3 compared to UCH-L1 (IC50 = 75 μM).
We are offering TCID (Cat. No. SML1402) as a possible alternative. Please read the alternative product documentation carefully and contact technical service if you need additional information. A 1,3-indanedione compound that acts as a selective and potent inhibitor of UCH-L3 (IC50 = 0.6 μM) with ~125-fold greater selectivity over UCH-L1 (IC50 = 75 μM).

Neuronal ubiquitin C-terminal hydrolase (UCH-L1) has been linked to Parkinson's disease (PD), the progression of certain nonneuronal tumors, and neuropathic pain. Certain lung tumor-derived cell lines express UCH-L1 but it is not expressed in normal lung tissue, suggesting that this
