General description
Selective dopamine D3 receptor agonist (Ki = 2.3 nM) with an 18-fold selectivity over long dopamine receptors (D2L) and exhibited only weak affinity for D4.2 receptors (Ki = 169 nM). Commonly used to reproduce cocaine′s discriminative stimulus effects and also in peripheral systemic studies of hypertension.

The dopaminergic and renin angiotensin systems interact to regulate blood pressure. Disruption of the D(3) dopamine receptor gene in mice produces renin-dependent hypertension. In rats, D(2)-like receptors reduce angiotensin II binding sites in renal proximal tubules (RPTs). Because the major

The present study determined the biochemical and pharmacological effects of PD 128907 [R-(+)-trans-3,4,4a,10b-tetrahydro-4-propyl-2H,5H- [1]benzopyrano[4,3-b]-1,4-oxazin-9-ol], a dopamine (DA) receptor agonist that shows a preference for the human D3 receptor. In transfected Chinese hamster ovary cells (CHO K1), PD 128907 displaced [3H]spiperone

Dopamine (DA) D3 and D2 receptor mechanisms are implicated in cocaine's abuse-related behavioral effects, but the relative contribution of the two receptor subtypes is only partially characterized. This study investigated the role of D3 and D2 subtype mechanisms by determining
