General description
Native lactoperoxidase from bovine milk. Gentle alternative to chloramine T for iodinating peptides and proteins without causing structural alterations. A glycoprotein with a single hemin prosthetic group per molecule.
Unit Definition
One unit is defined as the amount of enzyme that will catalyze the formation of 1.0 μmol triiodide per min at 25°C, in 33 mM sodium phosphate buffer, pH 7.0.
Reconstitution
Following reconstitution, aliquot and freeze (-20°C). Stock solutions are stable for up to 1 year at -20°C.
