General description

Inhibits Con A-stimulated mitogenesis in murine T cells. Lymphocyte marker in cancer patients. Readily converted to GD1b-disialoganglioside by bacterial and other mammalian neuraminidases without detergent or bile salts.
M.W. 2180.5 (based on stearoyl - 18:0).
Trisialoganglioside prepared from bovine gray matter. Readily converted to GD1b-disialoganglioside by bacterial and mammalian sialidases without detergent or bile salts. Inhibits mitogenesis in concanavalin A-stimulated murine T-cells. Lymphocyte marker in cancer patients.

Preparation Note

For use in aqueous systems, dissolve in a small amount of ethanol and then sonicate in buffer or medium, or dissolve the dried sample directly in aqueous buffers by sonication. Solutions can be filter sterilized.

Reconstitution

Following reconstitution, store in the refrigerator(4°C). Stock solutions are stable for up to 6 months at 4°C.
